Given annually to a living Arizona woman, the Sharlot Hall Award recognizes valuable contributions to the understanding and awareness of Arizona and its history. The award originated in 1984 as a counterpart to the Arizona Women's Hall of Fame, and was named in honor of the Museum's founder, Sharlot Mabridth Hall. A committee composed of Museum board members, Museum staff, and representatives of historical organizations throughout the state reviews nominations. Following a presentation and recommendations by the committee, the Board of Trustees of the Sharlot Hall Historical Society votes to select an honoree.

If you would like to nominate someone for the award, print-out out a nomination form and send it to the Sharlot Hall Museum by the deadline for this year.
