ALICE KATHRYN HOLMSLEY WILLIAMS
Alice was born on August 1, 1875, in a covered wagon, two days before her parents, Levi and Aly Means Holmesly, entered Arizona. They arrived at Woolsey Stage Station, Humboldt, but later moved to Tempe.
Alice was graduated from the Normal School at Tempe and taught in Arizona schools until she married Josiah Williams on August 10,1902, in Tempe.
Her mother Aly and her sisters, Emily, Georgia, Celeste Blake and Mary Lucinda Walker, are also represented in the Rose Garden.
Alice died on May 7, 1951, in Mesa.
