BERTHA EAKIN STURTEVANT
Bertha was born in Elgin, Illinois, on October 30, 1867, the daughter of William and Anna Miller Eakin. She married Frank Sturtevant on January 25, 1893, and they had three children: Louise Duncan Bristow, Dale Sturtevant and Lenore Warner.
Bertha was a member of the Roscoe (Illinois) Methodist Church and a charter member of the Roscoe Chapter #641, Order of the Eastern Star.
After the death of her husband, Bertha divided her time between her sister, Louise Temerhoff, who is also represented in the Rose Garden, and her daughter, Louise. She was a jolly, friendly person who made many friends while in Prescott.
Bertha died of pneumonia on December 6, 1954, in Elgin, Illinois, survived by her three children.
