Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden

Born 1860 in Missouri, Carrie married Henry "Harry" I. Eckert in 1880. In April 1900, the family moved to the Prescott area.

At that time, Harry listed his work as blacksmith and his family as three sons and a daughter. In 1903, another son was born. Carrie was widowed in 1909.

In 1911, she homesteaded property in the Groom Creek area, where they lived for many years.

In 1913, Carrie is listed in the City Directory as living at 215 E. Carleton in Prescott. In 1935, her home was at 417 S. Montezuma, where she lived with her son Leslie and grandson Joe.

Carrie died July 26, 1935. Her son, Harry E., died the following day. Both were buried on July 30.
