Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
Ethel was born on April 8, 1899, in Aspen, Colorado. She came to Prescott in May 1904 with her mother, two sisters and two brothers after the death of their father. She attended grade school and high school in Prescott.

On August 11, 1918, she married Floyd Theobald and had three children: Floyd, Jr., J. Karl and Mary Ettrel. Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served on the State Board of Deaconesses and in various other offices.

She also was president of the Alta Vista Garden Club. Ethel made and donated floral arrangements to many civic and religious groups in Prescott. She was untiring in her work and contributions toward civic development and beauty in the city.

She belonged to the Antelope Hills Ladies Golf Club and the Reserve Officers Auxiliary. For years she was medical records keeper at Yavapai County Hospital.

Ethel died on October 19, 1983, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
