Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden

Florence was born in Prescott in 1891, the daughter of Judge John C. and Florence Wilson Herndon. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1910.

In 1912, she married David Wentworth Russell, and they had a son, John Herndon Russell, born June 5, 1914.

Florence was a charter member of the General George Crook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was the first State (Arizona) Regent of the DAR. She was also Worthy Matron of the Golden Rule Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Florence's mother and her grandmother Louisa Wilson are also represented in the Rose Garden.

Florence died in Walnut Creek, California, in 1982.
