MYRTLE MARY WEAR TENNEY
Myrtle Mary Wear Tenney, daughter of William Green Wear and Sarah Jayne Boyde, was born June 22, 1886, in San Saba, Texas. She married Nathan Orson Tenney, a rancher of cattle and angora goats, on April 24, 1908.
The Tenneys lived for some years in Southern Arizona before moving to Prescott. They had 10 children: Naydene Tenney Lane, N. S. Tenney, William Delbert Tenney, Opal Tenney Goodman Allen, Nathan Boyd Tenney, Nina Belle Tenney Parry, Lyman "C" Tenney, Eudora Carol Tenney Patterson, Edythe Margaret Tenney Bennett and Pearl Tenney Romney.
Myrtle had taught school before her marriage. In addition to being wife and homemaker, she was active in the establishment of schools and associated with the LDS Church Relief Society.
Upon her death on June 1, 1976, she had 59 grandchildren. She was buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
