Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden
Romona was born on November 13, 1875, in Tempe, Arizona. Her mother's maiden name was Robledo. She attended school in Tempe, Arizona.

In October 1891 Romona married George Jorgerson Juhl in Tempe. George was a bookkeeper at Hayden Flour Mill and later at the Congress Gold Mine. The Juhls had four children: Alice Brown Reid, Olga Meine, June Cattermole and George Juhl Jr.

In addition to being a housewife and mother, Romona loved to paint pottery and was an industrious weaver, crocheter and seamstress, an active member of the Catholic Church, and endured all the hardships of raising a family.

Romona died on March 15, 1968, in Lancaster, California, where she was buried.
